Dear Colleagues, we welcome all participants to the Fourth Diffraction Service Technicians and Laboratory Managers Meeting co-organized by the University Rovira i Virgili (URV) and the Catalan Institute of Chemical Research (ICIQ), in Tarragona. This year the meeting has changed its format and it will be extended to two days. We hope that this change will not be an impediment for you to attend to the meeting as we have prepared several interesting topics. On the first day, we will have the typical round table to discuss internal issues and we have prepared thanks to the voluntary collaboration of several colleagues, a series of talks related to powder and single crystal X-ray diffraction. On the second day, we have invited thanks to our sponsors, a number of international experts who will introduce the topics of high resolution in single crystal, Pair Distribution Function (PDF) applications, electron diffraction and crystallization using special methods. We hope that these topics are of your interest and we thank you in advance for your presence in Tarragona.
