Keynote speakers
We are pleased to announce the following keynote speakers will be joining us for the EELF Conference 2022:
Prof. Dr. An Cliquet
Prof. Dr. An Cliquet is a professor of international environmental and biodiversity law at Ghent University (since 2004). The research of An Cliquet is situated in the field of international, European and national biodiversity law, encompassing both marine and terrestrial biodiversity law. She is involved in research or supervising PhD research on ecological restoration, climate change and nature conservation; ecological refugees; gender and biodiversity; protection of ecosystem services; a rights-based approach to conservation; the protection of the Congo basin; health and biodiversity; wildlife trade, the legal protection of urban biodiversity and the protection of transboundary watercourses under biodiversity law.
Dr. Carl Dalhammar
Dr. Carl Dalhammar is associate professor at IIIEE, Lund University. His research interests include law and innovation, government-industry interactions, technology transfer, and product-oriented environmental policy. His research projects have analyzed a number of product oriented environmental policies, including laws, eco-labels, and government procurement. Carl currently teaches environmental law and politics in seven European master programs and several undergraduate programs and has supervised over 50 master theses. Carl is a member of the Council for Research Issues at the Swedish Competition Authority.
Prof. Xavier Fernández-Pons
Dr. Xavier Fernández-Pons is associate professor of public international law at the University of Barcelona (since 2001). Degree in Law from the University of Barcelona (1994) and PhD in Law from the University of Bologna (1997). Diploma of the Centre for Studies and Research of The Hague Academy of International Law (1997). Researcher at the Centre for Environmental Law Studies of Tarragona (since 2014) and member of the Jean Monnet Chair on European Union Environmental Law (EUEL) at the University of Barcelona (since 2017). Main lines of research: international economic law, WTO law, and trade and environment.
Prof. Dr. Alba Nogueira López
Prof. Dr. Alba Nogueira López is professor of administrative law at Universidade de Santiago de Compostela. The research interest in the field of Environmental Law deal with ecoauditing, environmental choice of regulatory and policy instruments, circular economy, interface between environmental protection and market/economic regulation, environmental impact assessment. Alba is member of the scientific board of several environmental journals, the Spanish Observatory of Environmental Policies and the CEDAT.
