How to get to Tarragona

The Universitat Rovira i Virgili is situated in Tarragona, and is located in the south of Catalonia (one of the seventeen autonomous regions within the Spanish state), in the northeastern corner of the Iberian Peninsula.

Well-connected to Europe and the rest of the peninsula, it offers easy access to two airports: one in Reus, just 5 kilometers away, and the other in Barcelona, just 95 kilometers away.

By air:

Mainly low cost flights operate into Reus. If you fly into Reus you can either take a bus or a taxi from the airport to Tarragona, which is just 13 km away.

Barcelona International Airport

Barcelona airport is located 85 km away from Tarragona, and has connections with the main European cities. From the airport you can travel to Tarragona by bus. The current timetable (www.empresaplana.es/) offers a direct bus from the airport to Tarragona approximately every 2 hours. 
The current price of a ticket is 13 Euros.

By bus:

Tarragona has a Bus Station really close to the University, and you can find bus connections with a lot of European destinations through Barcelona.

By train:

Tarragona has two train stations. Regional trains arrive at the one located in the city center, while high speed trains stop mainly at Camp de Tarragona, the station located outside of the city. There are shuttle buses between the city center and Camp de Tarragona station.
