Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are hereby announcing that the 9th International Symposium on Optical Materials (IS-OM'9), will finally be held in Tarragona (Spain) from June 26 to 30, 2023.
IS-OM'9 will continue the tradition established by the previous meetings, but this time with stronger illusion after the Covid-19 pandemic, which restricted significantly the meetings and collaborations. We will celebrate the in-person meeting to boost the opportunity to share the latest findings in our research and personal relations.
The symposium provides an interdisciplinary forum for the presentation of the latest developments and breakthrough in fundamental research and practical applications in the broad field of optical and optoelectronic materials, including material design technologies and crystal growth, structural and spectroscopic characterizations and application related issues.
The symposium will be organized by the Physics and Crystallography of Materials (FiCMA) group of research, University Rovira i Virgili, the Committee of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and the Institute for Materials Research (IMR), Tohoku University, Sendai, Japan.
The conference location will be the Campus Catalunya of the URV in Tarragona, and besides the scientific activity we will offer you some social events to know better the city of Tarragona.
