Welcome to the Lectures on Organic Electronics

It is a great pleasure to invite you to attend the Lectures on Organic Electronics (LOE). The LOE will take place in Tarragona (Catalonia, Spain) from December 16 to 17, 2021 and will be a hybrid conference (in person and online). It is organized by the Department of Electronic, Electrical and Automatic Control Engineering (DEEEA) of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV), and is sponsored by the IEEE Electron Devices Society (EDS).

The Lectures on Organic Electronics (LOE) consist of different presentations given by recognized experts from the academia, research institutions, technological centers and industry, share their experiences and future perspective on this topic. They will shed light on aspects of new materials, technology development and architectures, devices, modeling, parameter extraction, circuits, integration, etc. from their academic or their company’s perspective.

The area of the flexible, printed and organic electronics has progressed significantly in the last 10-15 years. Printed and flexible electronic devices and circuits must be much more complex capabilities. Also, optoelectronic devices such as light emitting organic devices and organic solar cells have a rapid growth in the clean energy market and are expected to play an important role in the near future in markets such as textile buildings, notebook computers, transport, health and at home, among others.

The aim of the Lectures on Organic Electronics is promoting the development of knowledge, information and training of master and PhD students, postdoctoral researchers and researchers in the field of Organic Electronics.  Via a programme consisting of lectures, tutorials, discussion groups, students and researchers will expand and refine their knowledge of the design, simulation and characterization of cutting-edge organic devices.

I am sure you will enjoy this Lectures on Organic Electronics as well as your stay in Tarragona.
