Abstracts (300 words maximum)
Abstracts should be submitted electronically following the steps below:
- Start registration process on the “Login to your private area” from the menu
- After receiving the registration email* click on the button “Send communications” and upload your abstract
- Please wait for message delivery receipt
*If you do not receive the confirmation message within a few minutes of signing up, please check your Spam folder just in case the confirmation email got delivered there instead of your inbox.
Student Bursaries
The International Geographical Union (IGU) Commission on Tourism, Leisure and Global Change has kindly provided limited bursaries to support travel of full time research postgraduate students or other delegates with limited financial means of their own in order to encourage as wide a participation in the event as possible. The exact amount of the bursaries available will depend on the number of successful applicants that have had their abstract accepted to present a paper at the workshop.
Those wishing to apply for an IGU bursary should send an email (at the same moment as their presentation abstract submission) outlining their likely travel itinerary and attaching proof of full time research postgraduate status (or clearly explaining their situation, in case of candidates with limited financial means) to the Commission Chair, Professor Dieter Müller dieter.muller@umu.se
Candidates will be informed of the decision once the abstract review process is complete.
Publications
The IGU Commission on Tourism, Leisure and Global Change publishes a book series with Springer entitled 'Geographies of Tourism and Global Change'. Subject to the quantity and relevance of submissions received, presenters will have the opportunity to submit their full paper in chapter format for inclusion in an edited volume in this book series. More details will follow after the event has taken place.
